About the instructor
Dear friends! We are pleased to introduce Sergey Orlov- an internationally renowned Tango DJ, celebrated for his energetic and captivating sets at Milongas, Festivals, and Marathons across Asia, Europe and Eastern Europe.
Sergey has been in Argentine Tango for over 20 years and has been a DJ for 16 years. In that time he has taught over 500 classes to expand the understanding of how tango technique and music are related, tango music history and tango DJ advanced and basic principles. He has been teaching for the last 15 years and has also authored several unique online courses that are very popular for understanding musicality and history of orchestras.
His understanding of music history and what moves people is a formula for memorable events that get dancers moving and excited until past the time the organizers are scheduled to finish!
The biggest compliment to an organizer or DJ is that people don’t want to stop dancing even after the last tanda and "La Cumparsita" has been played.
Sergey is passionate about sharing his knowledge, helping dancers deepen their understanding of the culture, discover new favorite music, and appreciate the diverse and rich offerings of Argentine tango. In this original DJ seminar course we will not only cover what it takes to become a good tango DJ, but also discuss specific practical aspects and mechanisms of this creative process.
